A new school ... WOW !

St.Paul Catholic High School can finally see the fruits of their efforts in the barrio Simone Bolivard. Seeing the Pequena Escuela San Pablo we realize that the efforts were well worth the trouble . Thanks to them, it is now possible for young children in the barrio to get a good education. Wow! Thank you St. Paul Catholic Highschool on behalf of all these young people and we can only imagine what is to follow.

Working together

It is a day of work for the students of St.Paul Catholic High School at the orphanage "Nuestros Pequenos Hermanos" . They have the privilege to really get into the skin of the dominican people who work 7 days a week all day in the sunshine and heat. St.Paul school is able to leave their mark by painting on the wall of the orphanage. It is nice to see that there is still hope for poor young people without parents!

Today, St. Paul Catholic High School take a journey on the fair trade road. They first visit a cocoa factory where the benefits of fair trade products are explained to them. We realize that North Americans should consume more of these products. Lunch is taken at the center Mujeres Esperanza. The women of this center have prepared us a feast and show us how they are able to make wine and molasses from cocoa. The day concludes with a reflection in the mountains.

St.Paul Catholic High School arrive amoung us with many generous donations. The group is motivated for the week, and spend a first day in the San Pedro Park. They are able to visit the public market and see how dominicans buy their everyday food. Later on, they take a walk by the ocean and spend some time together as a group. The night ends with a reflection where they are able to share their thoughts on the day.
